Richard Holly Personal Photos
Richard Holly first picked up a harmonica at the age of 12, and a guitar around the same time. Growing up listening to a variety of stylists--B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Fred McDowell on the guitar, and Sonny Terry, Sonny Boy Williamson and Mel Lyman on the harmonica, among numerous others--Richard developed a personal style that reflects his rich and varied knowledge of music. He builds on this history with his original songs, blending an emotional depth with thoughtful lyrics and an accomplished vocal range to arrive at a well-crafted result which is unique and always a pleasure to hear.
